Meet Mckenzie's Mane Repair Salon

My name is Michelle, I am a licensed cosmetologist and a mother of three. I am meticulous when it comes to maintaining healthy hair. My professional career began in 1993, after graduating from cosmetology school. My cycle one didactic professor advised me to practice under the expertise of a master stylist for a few years before venturing out on my own. I am truly grateful for the knowledge and skills gained under their tutelage. 

In 1996, I furthered my education at Dudley’s Advance Academy where I was selected as vice president of my graduating class. To this day I continue to advance my knowledge and artistry learning all aspects of hair from cutting and coloring to addressing hair loss and hair replacements. I have graced the crowns of many with picture perfect updos, platform artistry, and much more. My greatest contribution is teaching many aspiring cosmetologists at Empire Beauty School some of my greatest techniques. As the hair industry evolves and new styles and products emerge, I strive to evolve with the times mastering new techniques and enhancing my craft.  

I patterned my beliefs on 1st Corinthians 11:15 “But, if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her; for her hair is given her for a covering;” Everyone deserves to be graced with beautiful, healthy, bouncy hair. This belief birthed my slogan “Where Beautiful Hair Begins!’
